04/07/2009 - YWA News - AOY Points System, Explained
|
The Yough Walleye Association offers very competitive opportunities for the
weekend angler in the form of Member's only tournaments and the Angler of the
Year Race. With Entry fees at $40/Team, it's the best value on the water
for tournament fishing. The YWA typically offers 6 tournaments and anglers
are awarded points based on the points system below. The Angler(s) with
the most points at the end of the season is awarded the Angler of the Year
title. Here is an explanation on how the points system works: - The winning team is awarded 100 points. - The remaining teams are awarded points based on their total weight / the winning team's weight. For example, if team A has a winning weight of 13.58lbs, they are awarded 100 points. Team B has a weight of 12.25lbs, so (12.25/13.58)*100 = 90.20 points. So, here is a sample top 5. |
| Finish | Name(s) | Weight | Points |
| 1 | Team A | 13.58lbs | 100.00 |
| 2 | Team B | 12.25lbs | 90.20 |
| 3 | Team C | 11.58lbs | 85.27 |
| 4 | Team D | 9.80lbs | 72.16 |
| 5 | Team E | 1.5lbs | 11.04 |
