| YWA members have already begun preparing for the '09 season. Last year, we had the closest race in YWA history as Dave Jenko and Jim Gwynn edged Melvin Bankhead by 27-hundreths(.27) of a point to capture the '08 Angler of the year crown. Up first, is the April 19th tournament at Deep Creek Lake, MD. The launch is at 7AM and is a member's only tournament. Memberships will be available at the registration site. The tournament ought to be an interesting one as the day before is the DCVFD annual walleye challenge. Some anglers will be able to capitalize on fishing both days as long as they are able to establish a working pattern. We would like to wish all of the anglers good luck and good fishing this year! |
